Teachers: Marion Toepke McLean, CNM, Sr. Angela, CNM, Jill Cohen Content: Ina May and Sr. Angela provide both birth stories and data to explain some of the psychology of prolonged labor. The speakers question whether this is actually a "problem." Marion discusses prolonged, protracted and arrested labor disorders. She explains their causes, discusses their effects on mother and baby, and gives advice on how to conquer these problems using many coping strategies. The nice discussion and good information presented make this a good teaching tape.
