Attending Birth is a two-part documentary speaking to the hearts and minds of women giving birth and those who attend them.

Disc 1 - Home Birth: The Spirit, The Science, The Mother. This DVD is designed to help dispel misconceptions about homebirth and midwives. Learn from doctors Marsden Wagner, MD, Jeanine Tgettis, DC, and Fred R. Duhart, DO as they speak about the safety, satisfaction and empowerment women feel when they give birth at home without medical intervention. You will also witness the joy of homebirth as two families share their exquisite birth experiences.

Disc 2 - Evidence Based Childbirth. Medical Anthropologist, Dr Robbie Davis-Floyd discusses the benefits of homebirth from a scientific and personal standpoint. Included on the disc is Luna, a delightful home birth from Costa Rica. Luna is narration-free and set to a bluesy jazz rendition of Silent Night.

If you have a relative or friend who is not certain about the safety or wisdom of having a homebirth, or if you have some questions of your own, Attending Birth is the DVD for you.

Disc 1 - 45 minutes
