“I am opening up in sweet surrender to the beautiful baby in my womb.” Sung by Imani, these words weave around the captivating images of this visual celebration of birth.
The show begins with slides of peony buds opening to full blossom, a metaphor for the connection between nature and birth. This is followed by several powerful pictures of women in labor, in various positions and settings. Then you witness the actual moment of birth, with a sequence of photos from crowning to the newborn babe in her mother’s arms. The show concludes with photos of moms and their babies–the flower of birth in full bloom.
“As we trust the flower to open to new life, so we can trust birth.” This slide show is a powerful affirmation of this statement. It will make a beautiful beginning for your presentations to birthing classes. Add one to your lending library as encouragement for a pregnant woman to open as a flower on her birth day.
