Lorna Davies is a UK qualified midwife who has worked in midwifery education for the last 16 years. She has published extensively in midwifery journals and texts and has edited three midwifery titles in recent years, including Sustainability, Midwifery and Birth. Lorna is currently a principal lecturer in Christchurch, New Zealand, where she also carries a small caseload as a self-employed midwife. She is presently undertaking a doctoral thesis exploring midwifery practice within a framework of sustainability.
