Miriam Medicine Prayer is a traditional midwife who has practiced in a variety of settings. The transmission from her “granny midwife” mentor has always been her guiding light. From that foundation, Miriam has worked in many US states, attending births in homes and in birth centers, and practicing in Senegal and Russia. Currently she teaches classes for midwives, sharing her trust and enthusiasm for women’s birth rights and the potential for ecstatic birth.
