Issue 28
Winter 1993
Theme: Siblings
Birth can be a family affair when siblings are prepared for it, and many birth practitioners welcome their participation. Several authors give readers of Issue 28 a look at how siblings can play a part appropriate to their age in pregnancy, birth and postpartum, describing some of the reactions parents might expect to see from them. Waterbirth, long labor, birth stories from Bali, and the effects of childhood abuse on a birthing woman are a sampling of the other topics covered. This issue also includes a follow-up article to Issue 27 on childbearing and parenting with a disability
