Médecins Sans Frontières

Médecins Sans Frontières delivers emergency medical aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural and man-made disasters, and exclusion from health care in more than 60 countries. MSF has 234 projects with reproductive health activities. In 2008, medical teams provided antenatal care for over 576,000 women and assisted over 100,000 births. Also, health-care workers provided prevention of mother-to-child transmission care for more than 11,000 HIV-positive mothers, post-rape care for nearly 10,000 survivors, and surgical repair for 300 women with vaginal fistula.
