Vicky York, board certified lactation consultant and certified postpartum doula, helped nearly 600 families in Oregon since 1992 through the postpartum period. She assisted with adoption, gay couple support, twins, preemies and perinatal mood disorders, and co-facilitated a perinatal mood disorders mother-to-mother support group for women in Eugene, Oregon.

Vicky York passed away in July 2014. Midwifery Today is honored to continue her legacy through her writing.
