Roxanna (Maurer) McEwen

Roxanna Maurer attended the Utah College of Midwifery and graduated in 1998 and has assisted hundreds of women in labor and travelled overseas to teach and explore avenues of need in birthing women.
Midwifery, to me, is about the strength of women and the beauty of birth.”
Her gift is communication and she has an ability to listen and give feedback as well as explore needs through the spoken word for both midwifery and with clients, with an emphasis of putting in the work to value midwifery and homebirth.
From Roxanna:
In 1990, my mother skipped my wedding reception to attend a training from an obscure man named Richard Bandler to learn some new alternative to therapy. I didn’t fully understand her studies, but I could see its healing touch on our relationship. As I entered the world of midwifery, I would call my mother and ask her what ideas she had to help me support the mamas I was working with. Whether the mama was struggling to relax or needed to release a past trauma, my mother always had an answer — an answer that worked. The techniques she shared were easy to implement and gave remarkable results. Since 2020, I have been training in NLP, Hypnosis and Time Line Therapy ® techniques. I am pursuing my Master Trainer Certification and will have my first birthworkers training ready to launch this fall. I believe that as midwives and birth workers we are in a unique position to not only welcome babies, but also to mentor mothers.  So now, I am writing trainings for birth workers to implement the skills my mother inspired in me decades ago. I am Roxanna (Maurer) McEwen and I was a midwife in Utah for 30 years. I recently married the man of my dreams, my Yang and moved to the enchanted state of WA. Being a mother to my beloved and spirited daughters is perhaps my sweetest joy.
