Jo Beth Cairns is a British-trained nurse and has been a midwife since 1994. She currently lives and works as a midwife in Sweden. She previously worked with the Maori community in New Zealand, as well spending a year in Alberta, Canada, as an obstetric nurse-midwife. Jo is fascinated by the cultural aspects of childbirth and has gained a lot of insight over the years into cultural issues and sensitivity.
