Aneke Roach

Aneke Roach is a proud mother of 3 (3x birthed at home), happy wife, and an internationally grown licensed midwife working in WA state, (CPM by NARM). Midwifery runs through her veins; she followed into the footsteps of her grandma and aunt.

Aneke was born & raised in Germany, where she got licensed as a full scope hospital midwife in 1998. After 2 years of practicing midwifery in a modern hospital with high rates of water birth, she moved to warm Mexico where she practiced as an OOH midwife in rural & urban areas for 20 years. She gained lots of traditional midwife knowledge by sharing work/life with her Mexican colleagues. In 2020 she came to Seattle, WA, where she got relicensed and opened Mama Bear Midwife Care in 11/2022.

Aneke’s strength lies in education of future parents, offering water birth and supporting VBACs. 

She is working actively as a monitrice and midwife, supporting future parents in the birth place of their choice.
