Carole Groobman

Carole Groobman is a mother, grandmother, retired postpartum doula, actress, storyteller and workshop facilitator.  In 1998 she was inspired to marry her two careers as an actress/storyteller and new postpartum doula after listening to her clients’ birthing experiences and stories of medical events.  Given her counter-culture experiences of giving birth to her daughter and son in the 1970’s, powerful, spiritual, rites-of-passage, she felt ‘called’ to write a show.  Five years later, through reams of research and countless interviews, material enough for six shows, and with the help of a gifted director, the material was skillfully distilled into FORCE OF NATURE, a birth unto itself.
